Christmas PJ's

Waking up on "Christmas" morning

Karissa wore her Christmas pj's a day late. So these are her staged Christmas morning pictures, oh well she'll never know that they were technically the day after Christmas.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all! Karissa is spending her first Christmas with Daddy today, I'm working. Santa hasn't been to our house yet and we haven't let him know when to come either, we have so many parties that we just don't know when will be a good time. Good thing Karissa doesn't know any better this year. I just wanted to post her Christmas pictures this morning.

Merry Christmas!!

Everyone needs one minor meltdown picture, right?

Wednesday, December 24, 2008

So Karissa thought she would get into her presents a little early this year. Of course I didn't stop her, instead I taped her. i just think it's too funny how she kept looking at me and then the tree as if to say I'm not doing anything wrong, la la la, I'm being good! What a little stinker! We did let her finish opening it last night and she got a froggy hooded towel, yeah!! Merry Christmas!

9 Months

Karissa is going to be 9 months old tomorrow. I thought I would post about her today seeing I'm working tomorrow. She is wearing 6-12 month clothes, 9 month sleepers, size 3 or 4 shoes, and size 3 diapers. Her hair is getting longer and fuzzy, she wakes up with bed head! It's definitely going to be red like her daddy's. She has 5 teeth 2 on bottom and 3 on top with the 4th to come anytime. She crawls on her hands and knees to go backwards and scoots forwards. She is into everything! She is loving eating big people food and really likes to feed herself. She is saying mama, papa, and dada very clearly and often. She waves by by, signs for milk and shakes her head no (which is the funniest thing!). She can pull herself up to kneeling from her tummy and can stand holding on to her shopping cart alone. She takes one good nap in the afternoon, goes to bed between 9 and 10 pm and wakes up between 8-9 am. She is such a happy baby and I just am totally in love with her!

Meeting Santa

Karissa met Santa a few weeks ago. She didn't mind him at all and just sat very nicely on his lap. We'll see what she does next year.

New Things

Do you see all 5 of my toofers??

Karissa is learning to do new things almost daily now. She just taught herself to pull up to a kneeling position. I found her like that in her crib yesterday afternoon (don't mind the tears she wasn't thrilled that I came in, said hi and then left to get the camera). She thinks that she is hot stuff sitting on her knees playing with toys. The only problem her legs go numb so when she wants to move then she is crying and won't move her legs. She also had her first big tubby bath last night. We thought she may like to sit in the big tub and she did. Although I think we will go back to the little tub or use the sink b/c the big tub just takes way to much water and time to fill.

On the Move

Karissa is on the move all the time. We were sitting on the couch the other night and she was crawling around the floor. I watched her go under the table (backwards) all the way out to the other side and then she went back through without getting stuck once. I don't know how she does it. The she thought she would move her highchair. She ended up locking her self under the bar stool, and then had to be rescued. She just cracks me up.

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

Karissa came out to help daddyKarissa trying to make her first snow angel

Daddy just stood me up in the snow, it's almost to my waist!!

Daddy said see how far my snow blows

We have gotten so much snow in the last week that RJ has had plenty of time to try out his new snow blower. Friday he called me to see if I had driven on the driveway, I said no seeing I don't think I would have made it through that foot of snow. He was all excited to have fresh snow to snow blow!! Seeing it dark by the time he got home, I now understand why he wanted the one with the headlight on it, not to mention the heated hand grips and electric start!! We are snow blowing in style here in Coopersville!

Some of Karissa's Favorite things

I love eating Cheerios and playing with Tupperware on the kitchen floor.

Mom we are out of Cheerios
Sharing so nicely with her Buddie dog. Buddie is so gentle with her, it's very cute to watch

She is getting around really well now, and well she got herself stuck under this stool trying to get at her highchair. I laughed when she could get out, and of course ran for the camera before helping her.

Who said babies can't play with plastic bags??Daddy thought that Karissa may enjoy Oreo pie as much as he does. Little did he know that she would have eaten his entire piece had he let her. She was all about that. leave it to Daddy to give her the sweet stuff (and Mommy to take the pictures)

The Best Christmas Gift

Trying so hard to back herself in farther

Karissa thought she would put herself under the tree today. I think she was saying that she is the most important gift for Mommy and Daddy, so true! She sure was funny when she could go back any further because she was up against the trunk. What will this little lady get into next?
