Big Pumpkins

There has to be at least one screaming baby picture!

We went to the Meijer Gardens to see the big pumpkins again this year.  Karissa was so excited!  She just loves to help papa with the pumpkins and corn so she was thrilled to see these BIG ones!!  Olivia had never sat in the grass before so she was fascinated with that and wouldn't look at me for a picture for anything.  I think that we will try to go back again before the pumpkins leave the gardens to get some more/better pics.  

Olivia's 5 Months Old

Olivia is now 5 months old.  I just don't know where the time has gone!  She is so much fun!  She is just a little pip squeak still, maybe 14 pounds.  She is wearing 3-6 month clothes, size 1-2 diapers, size 2 shoes, and lots of head bands!!  Most of her pretty hair is now gone, even most of the little red mullet!  There is peak fuzz on top so I am hoping it won't take 2 years for it to grow back.  Olivia sleeps all night long and take about an hour nap in the morning and a 3-4 hour nap in the afternoon.  She is working on sitting up on her own and can do it on her own for short periods of time.  She is still a thumb sucker and won't take a binkie anymore.  Today I felt that she has her first tooth popping through on the bottom!!  She smiles,laughs and coos all the time.  She is very social and will smile at anyone that will talk to her.  She eats rice cereal once a day and is starting to really like it.  Oh and she loves to eat ice like mommy (sorry daddy!!)  Olivia loves her big sister, she just can't get enough of her!  I am just totally in love with my little thumb sucking girl!

The Beach

It was a super windy day so we loaded up the family and drove to Grand Haven.  RJ and Karissa walked down to the water while getting sandblasted.  Olivia and I stayed warm and sand free in the car.  Buddie made the trip with us even though he had to share the trunk with the stroller.

Olivia is a big girl now!!  She tried cereal for the first time and loved it.  Well I can't say loved at first bite but liked for sure.  She is getting better with it every time and will actually open her mouth now.  I really think that she wants real food but she has to wait a little bit longer for that yet.

Tired after a long day of boating

We went boating with Caleb and Colleen, it was the perfect day!  Karissa and Olivia both did great seeing we were gone all day!  The boys wanted to ski after lunch so Rj went first.  He did really well and even dropped one ski...then he did the ultra incredible crash!!  I was so happy that I snapped the camera at the exact moment!  Caleb's turn was next.  He did really well on 2 skies, however not so good on just one.  I didn't get a good picture of him crashing, he just wasn't as good at that as RJ was.  We stopped on the beach for a while so Karissa could play in the sand.  Olivia even got out of the boat for a few minutes.  she wasn't so sure she wanted her piggies dipped in the cold water.  We had lots of fun, next year we will have 3 little girls on the boat!!
