Potty Time
We have been putting Karissa on the potty a few times a day. The only person to have any luck is Grandma. Karissa has gone potty for Grandma at least 3 different times, which may not sound like a lot but to me it is! She really likes to sit on the big potty ( i like it too b/c she can't get off alone!). She sits on the potty and then tells mommy down (I have to sit on the floor) and then we proceed to read Rainbow Rob at least 5 times and then she is finished. At least she likes to practice!
18 Months
Karissa is now 18 months old (okay actually 19 by now). She is such a big girls these days. We are in full blown toddler-hood!! i always say she is 1.5 going on 4 years old! She is now weighing in at 25 lbs and is 33.25 inches tall. She finally made it back on the chart for height!! People are shocked when they ask how old she is b/c she is so tall for her age. Karissa is talking up a storm. I can't even begin to make a list of all the words that she says. She has just started to go from calling me mama to mommy and from dada to daddy. It's to cute to hear her say that although at times she does over use it too!! ha ha! she is wearing 18 months clothes for the most part although she does have a lot of 24 months stuff for winter. She is in size 4 diapers (hopefully will soon be done with those!), and wears size 7 shoes! She still takes one nap a day in the afternoon and sleeps from 9-10 pm to 8-9 am. She has just recently given up her binkie, okay we took it away, and thankfully she hasn't missed it too much. She has been sleeping all night rather than waking up once a night screaming. We are glad that we stuck to it even though it was a few long nights of going to bed screaming and looking in her crib calling out for pass, pass. I had to walk out of the room at that moment b/c I was laughing so hard. So that is the latest and greatest on our little missy pants!!

Camping
So I know that I am way overdue for a post, sorry. We went camping to Brower Park for Hot Boat weekend September 11-13. It was beautiful weather (the best in the last 3 years we hear!). We took our boat this time so that Karissa would have a little more room to play and a bed to sleep on. We had an amazing time. There were so many boats up there, it was crazy. We parked on the sandbar for a long time, Karissa got beads for just being so cute!! She does love her pretties! She didn't sleep well the first night, I think she was cold, but the second she slept very well. We had an awesome time and were pretty depressed when we packed all the camping stuff in the basement until next year. We can't wait until it's warm next spring!

Camping
We took Karissa camping for the first time last weekend. We went with Caleb and Colleen up to Brower park. It was beautiful weather all weekend. Karissa loved boating and playing in the dirt. She actually slept really well in her pack-n-play at night and took a 3 hour nap Saturday afternoon. We all had a really good time even though camping with a toddler is a bit more of a challenge. We can't wait to go again in a couple of weeks!

New Kicks
So RJ and I love shoes!! We are now passing our love of shoes on to Karissa. We went to get RJ new insoles last night and walked out with a new pair of baby Etnies for Karissa. Everyone in the store thought she was just the cutest little girl, of course the shoes matched her pink dress perfectly. They even joked that she needed to come model them in the store on Saturdays. Good thing we got a girl, maybe, this could be bad too with all the shoes that she could have. At least we bought them big enough so she will be able to wear them for a while!
Pics, Pics, and More Pics!
