Miss Independant

Karissa picked her dress out the other day and wouldn't let me put it away, or get her dressed for that matter. She just ran around the house naked carrying her dress....too cute!

Green Thumb?

RJ made me a couple flower boxes this year and he stained them the red and green that I had picked out. I love them!! The flowers look really good right now but we shall see if I can keep them alive through the summer! Hopefully I have better luck than with the hanging baskets I got for mother's day, they may be half dead already (so is the mother in laws)!

The Driveway Bites Back

We had our first real injury this past weekend. Karissa was playing outside as we did yard work and the next thing we know she is crying and she stands up. Yes she indeed actually skinned her knee for the first time. She must have landed just right because she has fallen many times before. She is a true toddler now with a skinned knee!

I thought I should post a few new pictures of Karissa. She loves to play outside in the sand box and go for car and wagon rides. She also found that she loves to walk in the grass although she was terrified the first time! She definitely daddy's little side kick, she loves to mow the grass with him! She is growing up so fast, where did my baby go??

Karissa loves to play outside. We got her a pair of sunglasses and she finally keeps them on! I think she looks very funny with her bug eyes on! part of me says that she looks slightly special needs seeing they have a strap and she has no hair to cover it! She just loves to play with her car and her ball. Yesterday was the first time that she ventured out into the grass. She wasn't too sure about it but then it became a game to see how far she could go without falling. She is just so much fun!

Mental Breakdown

So for all of you that think that Karissa NEVER is unhappy.....this is Karissa being just that! She was having a very big mental breakdown this night before bed. She plopped herself down on the floor and just sat and screamed! There was no calming her down. So yes Karissa can get very emotional and upset!

Bike Riding

We got the bikes down last night and went for the first ride of the year. Last year Karissa rode in her car seat in the trailer and this year she had to sit all alone. She seemed to like it and of course we had to take George along! Karissa just loves her Georgie!

My Sandbox

We thought Karissa would really like a sandbox. RJ was going to make one but we decided to get her a crab instead. She was very excited to play with all her sand toys that she got for her birthday. She wasn't so sure about standing in the sand with bare feet at first but then really liked it. She didn't want to get out and was filthy when she finally did.

On a side note, RJ and I had a lot of fun in Las Vegas last weekend. We got some sun, did some shopping and had a good time being alone. I was very glad to be home and see my little peanut pie, boy did I miss her! Oh and she did great at Grandma and Papa's house (yes they missed her lots after we picked her up!)
